I wonder how much money all that translates into. Although, going off of the number of tags on e621 probably isn't the most accurate way to measure commission numbers. They're probably missing a number of commissions, and include plenty of non-commission work.

I'm going to go with Lupine Assassin. Drama aside, he's had more commissions done than anyone else I can think of, and ALL of them are terrible.

I couldn't vouch that he's gotten the most commissions (haven't looked into it that hard) but I would assume Lupin Assassin is the most "hardcore" in that he was buying commissions while e-begging for food and rent money, saying he was homeless at the time. Though I don't know if he actually was homeless or not.

People who commission things and upload them to FA should always say how much it cost them. But for some reason, I've never seen anyone do that.

Add Kittyflame, Skimike, Darkduck64 and Cornelius to the list.

Out of the lot, Skimike is the only one who managed to get commissions from Dr. Comet himself.

Same reason that most people don't leisurely chat about how much their shoes/computers/cars cost. It's big-headed and basically an irritating brag about money.

I'm surprised that SecreT hasn't been included here. I dunno how many of his images are commishes and how many are requests, but he's got quite a few. There's 75 on e621, but there's probably an assload more on FA that just aren't here.

Also, Kald has a point about Skimike.

The biggest problem with LA, even bigger than his begging & stealing, is the fact that all of his commissions are bland & uninspired. I don't claim to be the most imaginative guy out there, but even I could come up with better ideas. Or a more original character.

Kinda off-topic, but what's up with commissions constantly being sexual or featuring tired poses & weapons? I got a free comission from a friend once. It was a picture of my fursona in his female form (he's a shapeshifter, more specifically a gendershifter). In the picture, my fursona was pregnant AND clothed.

Things that don't look reaaaaally cool or sexy are basically ignored by the fandom entirely. A lot of commissioners fall into the pattern of commissioning porn just so people will notice them.

I've got roughly a 50/50 divide between clean and dirty commissions. I think the clean one with the most views has like, uh, a hundred something? And by all regards it's a fucking masterpiece.

All my dirty ones automatically get like twice that, regardless of quality. The decent ones get like ten times that.

It basically comes down to three things:

1. Desperate lonely fuckers who want attention.

2. The Fandom's generally really vanilla tastes.

3. People willing to draw for money.
