April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.
For some further information on what the bill does have a look at https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2586/
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

BlockedLegendary post number 100, but you know there is no post number 1?
nightblaze
Memberthats because the post 1 was deleted for some reason
Niphanos
MemberPost numbers one through twelve never existed, otherwise it would say that it had been deleted, who deleted it, and the reason, though that last one's sometimes blank.

BlockedHere's my theory on why posts 1-12 never existed:
They couldn't have just been deleted, because it would've said "deleted" on the thumbnail. You see, they did indeed exist at one time. However, they may have crossed into a sort of matrix blur and thus their data has been "erased." If my theory is correct, the posts may still exist somewhere in a sort of web-purgatory; a place where data, having been supposedly erased utterly, still exists, but is nearly impossible to reach (because it no longer directly inhabits the internet as we know it). Thus, because the true data still exists, the future posts were not bumped back into their spaces, as they would've been in the absence of the digital matter still filling said spaces.
So the posts exist, and they do not exist.

MemberThey don't exist because when the 13th post was posted there was a big bug and when they fixed it the data base records of theses posts ware coruped so that's why it says that they don't exist it's because the database records got curuped and they didn't use them (or edit them to say "deleted")

Memberinteresting tidbit for anyone who may have stumbled upon this, this is the earliest image on the site to have the tag "gynomorph". i thought that was kinda neat.
dodgey roger
MemberProbably an after-the-fact thing when the tag was added much later to represent feminine-intersex characters, including herms. I seem to recall a "shemale" tag existing long ago, which likely would have been replaced by gynomorph.
