Btw fun fact, Swastikas used to be a good luck charm long before they were a symbol of Nazism.

Funner fact: swastikas always were and still are by the very nature of their name auspicious symbols; the ns bs was aptly called the Krummkreuz (crooked cross....yeah like the Slayer song).

Vexillology depends as much on individual connotation as heraldic tradition...so many crests and charges are variations on the same basic themes, it's all about what associations you're choosing to assign to it (which by the same measure doesn't preclude others' either)

The world never thought it'd see the day I quit trying for the flag. It's not that I've turned against it (because I haven't), it's just that I don't even bother anymore. I refuse to even fly an American flag. I'll only fly a Gadsden flag from now on. And soon, the asshole "progressives" will try to take literally everything I believe in away. My gun, my gun rights, my right to not-be-a-fucking-leftist, etc, etc. And all I'm doing is going about my business not even hurting anyone. Ftw.

dey hate us, cuz dey aint us

I really don't get why there's so much controversy over Confederate flags... It's been over 100 years... get over it already...

Another fun fact... nvm... I'll just go out of control if I start...

Pages with a search box on the left have an orange (Search Options) link. I just needed to get to the link fast and the first thing I saw was your avatar so I clicked it and found the comments.

  • Like the flag, hate the flag, for good or for bad, it'll always be the south's flag.

Oh, and that goes for the background, too, I guess. :P

  • Why did people take this image so seriously? I mean, I'm pretty sure this image wasn't meant to be overwhelmingly serious, lol.

No, you were completely justified? When we think of “assiness” I’d say false reports fit the bill better.

Tennessean here. These pro-flag people do not represent the south as a whole, I swear.

No worries. Small handfuls of obnoxious, intolerant frat kids don’t represent the North either :)

  • You realize this drawing was made at the '90s when federation flag wasn't treated as "hate speech symbol" (thanks Obama).

  • I for one am glad e621 avidly allows the slavery flag on the site. I like my porn sites to have bigotry and homophobia pasted across them to remind me how hateful people are while I browse art.

You're right, what was i thinking. These two things truly are equal in their derogatory effects.

How could Confederates have been homophobic with all the dude-on-dude whipping going on?
