Definitely. I got permanently scarred poking slightly-hot metal for a half-second because I was making cookies. It had cooled to less than 300F and yet it permanantly scarred me from a light half-second poke. The metal here was more than 3000F and came from all directions.

There wouldn't be a foot. It would be a sixth-degree burn, destroying the marrow. His foot would melt off like silly putty and his fur would be engulfed in flames across his entire body, because the leg is on the bottom and the heat would travel upward. Ever see the first episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure? Basically that.

...you mean of the first season right? I'm pretty sure something similar happened in Battle Tendency as well.
