While Perturbator actually has music that would fit an 80's slasher flick (a whole album dedicated to them), I prefer Carpenter Brut. I stand with the first poster.

I get you. I just tend to associate Brut with high-energy stuff - better for chase and action than the obligatory intro victim and title splash.

This might work, I think, 'specially if you use the synth lead-in during the build-up of the scene.
