This is what you would describe as a 'honey trap'. If this guy is any kind of competent adventurer, he'll keep his distance and one hand on his sword hilt.

In the initial idea she isn't quite random and disposition of her lair is known to travellers. In exchange for gifts (that are going to your usual dragon's hoard) she provides hospitality (not just carnal pleasures, but also intellectual stimulation and general companionship, as you generally won't just up and leave in the middle of nowhere) and some place to rest.

Spear is there mostly for roleplay purposes and possible self-defence.
