Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.
Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.
Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

They are somewhat tragic if they weren't so volatile.

BlockedWhy tragic? is it cause in game they sound like they activly worry about one another?
Daneasaur
MemberIf you read the SCP file, you learn that they start off as humans but somehow change into these upon maturity and feel a fair degree of pain. Usually they just want company and friends but have been conditioned t believe everyone is lying to them, and those who lie will be eaten.
Dragonspine123
Blockedah ha hmm i now know that the in game pofile isnt accurate
Daneasaur
MemberWell, they also mimic the last person they killed, but feel sorry about "lying" since they feel it's bad.
Dragonspine123
Blockedhmm so what do you think causes the change a mutagenic gene a pathogen or something supernatural ?
VoidWillow
MemberWhy have they been conditioned this way? Offhand observation: SCP foundation just seems like they are more interested in bringing about the end of the world than any sort of protection half the time.
Daneasaur
MemberAlways supernatural.
It's a long story.
Outside of the 'verse, it's because the SCP wiki has been victim to many instances of leadership at the hands of people who'd been rejected from fanfiction dot net and forget what the purpose of SCPs is supposed to be about.

MemberYou're pretty salty, huh?
For what it's worth, it's not known if knowing lying is wrong is normal for 939 or not, since the only instance they've been able to communicate with was raised as a human child (in an admittedly extremely limited environment) by the Foundation until it "molted" and now they keep it permanently vivisected (which, admittedly, now that I look at it closer, probably wouldn't fly on the site if it was posted today)
Daneasaur
MemberOnly lightly salted.
