Hello friends!

Today i was messing around with Unity´s new demo environment called "the book of the dead" to get used to the new rendering pipeline setup. On top of that, this package has a lots of very nice free photoscanned assets that i would like to use in FeralIsland and i could not resist to put some of the boys into it. :3

As you can see, the fur is currently not working because its not compatible with the new render engine(yet), but i am looking into a solution/workaround for that. Overall the scene is gorgeous and insanely immersive and runs surprisingly smooth.. Its pretty nice how much atmosphere you get by good audio engineering alone.

This is not really considered a nightly_build but its a nice little goody to show. The game files are also available for patrons, but i am thinking on releasing those for free in some point in the future. As usual its not tested/confirmed to be working with the vive. But let me know if it is working!

    Oh wow, that looks really damn nice but also so out of place with the textures on them. It's to be expected of course. Hopefully the fur works soon!

    Yeah fur will hopefully come soon. And they will look much more fitting. :>

    This is only to avoid copyright claims, i guess? If screencaps would be not allowed all 3d porn from source film maker would not be allowed here, right?

    The world is very detailed and nice to look at. Could use some animal sounds to bolster the believablilty factor some.

    Sadly, the characters look completely out of place in that environment. Their coloration is off, their size is slightly out of proportion to their surroundings, and they have a cartoonish look to them (which is enhanced by the unnatural colors in the natural setting).

    It might be better to try for a more cartoonish world for these creatures to exist in, or at least a non Earth-like one so they blend in more easily. Completely unnatural surroundings, like a city or club or other indoor or sci fi setting seems like it would fit them better as well.

    You can currently download it as a patron. But im planning on releasing it for free with the next public release in january. :)
