  • "Hi. I'm the champion of the Galar Region. I'm completely undefeated and also known as the greatest trainer in Galar. This is because I use a very overrated pokemon and live in a society of total idiots who don't know what counter typing means, despite the fact that electric, rock, and water type pokemon are in abundance here.

It's sure to be an anticlimactic fight when you finally reach me and one-shot my charizard because, contrary to what the anime and frothing fanatics would have you believe, Charizard is a glass cannon, meant to attack first and OHKO it's opponent. If you happen to go faster or have a type advantage, you'll win! Surely, you won't be tempted to get both in one and get the popular pikachu and evolve it into Raichu, which has more speed, type advantage, and solid special attack!

I look forward to disappointing you on your way to the championship!"

Dude, stop. You don't like Gamefreak's decisions, we get it. You really don't need to post that everywhere on the page.

    thank you!

Actually, if you actually read what I wrote, I was taking a pot shot at how this "legendary undefeated trainer" has a seriously overrated pokemon as his partner.

I made no mention of my opinion of gamefreak.

    Overrated in what way?

If you mean in real life, people do actually really like Charizard. No need to be hatin' on those of us who do.

If you mean in universe, the games' message has always been one of forming strong friendships with your pokemon. That your skill as a trainer and your bond with your pokemon can overcome seemingly-impossible odds. You don't have to have the objectively best team composition to go far.

It's notable, however, that his bio distinctly points out he never lost "an official Pokémon battle". Keyword being "official". That leaves open a number of potential plot points for the character, in which he may not be quite as shining and/or skillful as he portrays himself. We'll have to wait and see what, if anything, the game does with that.

And who do you think made the decision to give this trainer a charizard? It probably wasn't the pope.

Yes, I said "gamefreak" because you're keep going on and on about how you dislike the current and past Pokemon generations, both from technical standpoints and game design decisions.

Hey if you like charizard, that's perfectly fine. Just don't go toting it as some be all end all god of pokemon that some people do.

If you know it's not infallible but still like it anyway, or have an attachment to it since it was your first starter, I can sympathize.

That said, I've grown up with lots of people who felt Charizard was "the best" in terms of battles, and while it's pretty good, it isn't "the best" and when they flap their mouth too much, I pull out an electrode and it ends the battle pretty quick.

Sure the guy is likely to be cool or maybe he's the leader of the team of villains.

Depends on what they present but I'm not expecting Shakespeare.

Regardless, my post was a joke, it wasn't meant to be taken so seriously.
