Depends on what kind of dog you're talking about...
An Afghan...yeah...it'd be ugly. But, a Doberman? You'd hardly be able to tell they were even wet. It all depends on the length of the fur. Given Dev's muscular definition, I'd guess it's 4, maybe 6, millimeters long, at most. One or two body shakes, and he's dry, even without a towel (I think that was mostly to satisfy his sense of modesty, anyway).
