I'm kinda scared of spiky creatures and this one I'm particular!

To be fair, they're basically just really weird human beings. If the foundations wasn't the cunts they are, they'd probably be fairly easy to rehabilitate with minor chemical safety precautions and a red meat diet.
But nooooo, we have to feed D-class to the starving predator to see if a child we purposefully did not feed will attack another person to survive. Christ they're incompetent.

I don’t think they are “just weird humans“ though. The only example we have of one acting humanlike is 101, who was raised from birth as a human with a human brain. We also only have a single account of their reproductive cycle in which it’s implied that 939 bred with a human. My theory is that 939 can breed with any animal (maybe any mammal, or a narrower classification) and will produce offspring identical to that of its non-939 counterpart.

The way I read it is that SCP-939 kids are basically changelings, being born identical to human beings and presumably being raised as such, but then they end up turning and breathing amnestic everywhere.

All of the litter were completely indistinguishable from human infants at first (because of course the foundation vivisected half of them), and the mother made no attempt whatsoever to retain them. That definitely seems like brood parasite behaviour.

Either way, I'd consider something that is geneteically and morphologically indistinguishable from a human being at some point during its lifespan effectively a human being.

Way late to this, but iirc 939 only "hunts" humans and therefore likely only breeds with humans, since the natural outcome of raising a 939 instance is being mauled to death and "eaten" once they change.
