Isn't clear yet. Could be that Chaut is *why* Sidra is how she is... or could be that Chaut is how Sidra is *able* to be how she is. It's a question of if the fairy is drugging Sidra and keeping her high 24/7, or if the fairy is medicating Sidra and letting her function through a bunch of otherwise crippling anxiety.

Sidra *is* hiding under a bed in the first panel, and in the earlier ask where present-day Sidra lost Chaut she was hugging a pillow and shaking in terror - so could be either way. :(

I feel like recently we've been getting a larger influx of gay content, whereas before most of this was all straight.

I agree. It's kinda terrifying to imagine being forced to be a totally different person, to maybe not even have your own thoughts.

I'd guess it's less not having her own thoughts as having someone that helps remove your insecurities and inhibitions. Kind of like being drunk/high would do, but as a lower-potency, relatively harmless version
