  • You know, looking at it makes me Wonder how Vipers homeworld looked like before Elders came.

An interesting question indeed, even when thinking other alien-species they "uplifted". Maybe vipers had a harsh-type of homeworld, when considering that they are explosive breeders.

May I inquire where you take that from?

From the The Alien Hunters DLC. Which (quoted from Tv-Tropes page) "shows that a single male Viper with access to a few females can produce swarms of offspring. Dr. Vahlen hypothesizes that the Elders may have done their Gendercide as a form of population control."

Well, I mean, we don't know how long they've been without males, I'm pretty sure that in a situation where they can breed with no restraint that all instincts come back, the Elders definitely did something to suppress those instincts otherwise all Vipers would just be hanging out trying get laid and masturbating, not useful for combat.

When quote from Wikipedia or any site, am I someone who knows his (insert complex scientific field here)? Other than that, I always thought that all those offspring were created over time because we don't know how long the Viper King (we need more pics of him) was running rampant.

Have you seen the game Chimera Squad? It takes place after the end of X-Com 2, where the Elders are defeated, and all their enslaved races are free. Aliens are now living alongside humans on earth.

Vipers apparently started taking jobs working as prostitutes and strippers.
