One anyone else notice a tint of red to Nibs's eyes in the last panel?

Two if Nibs actually DID straight defy death beyond ignoring it that puts a fair bit on the table.

There was a definite crack when she was slammed into the tree so she should have broken her spine or something but got up like nothing happened. Though sadly from what I see it's just the flame reflecting off her eyes it's orange that then turns red on the panel she's growling.

I'm not sure what we're about to find out about Nibs, but it's going to be more than that henchman can handle. GO NIBS GO!!!

Nibbly's going to be fine. It's been lamp-shaded for years that she is *not* really a squirrel. She had her back seemingly broken and popped right back up and was fine. Sythe's unarmed and backed into a literal corner and is in no shape to fight back. Everyone else is otherwise occupied. The logical assumption is that Nibbly is going to fuck this dude up, which Sythe (and us) may or may not get a good view of, and will be left with more questions than answers about his companion.

For someone who's apparently read the comic for years, you don't seem familiar with how Tom rolls. Also, you said you were "blacklisting this comic and moving on" because the last page was "the straw that broke the camel's back."

Everyone is assuming Brutus is, in fact, dead. There's no 100% undeniable proof.

I mean Tom has, IIRC, admitted to leaning on his fanbase for story direction. So it wouldn't be beyond possibility for him to retcon things to appease the fanbase or otherwise influence it.

And most assume Brutus is dead because, quite plainly, we saw him get offed this time. Like how we got to see Laura die.

There is nothing saying he cannot cheat death twice or Clovis might have bowed out at the last second but it seems pretty cut and dried this time

Except not? Zoom in. It clearly is narrower than and keeps going past the squirrel tail. The tip goes all the way down to touch the frame of the panel. And the focus of the panel itself is entirely about the reflections.

See the smear on everyone's reflection and you'll notice... It's the effect that creates the illusion.

If you wanna go with Nibs' weird behavior... Let's think back about how afraid she was of Madam Reni at first, doing everything she could to stay out of sight.

Sigh. I've enlarged and painted over the reflection. It's not an illusion from the smears. The smears are vertical because the waterfall is flowing down (like waterfalls do.)

It narrows weirdly at the end, but that could be due to perspective. If the end was shifted to the right and away from the waterfall, then it would appear like in the reflection from our POV. That is not a squirrel tail.

Bruh this dudes so dead, idk what's going to happen, but I think he stands no chance against Nibbly. Or she's going to cause something to kill him, like trigger the estate's magic or something idk.

That...actually may be a hint that Brutus isn't going to stay down. May be that, in addition to being large and strong, he's endowed with some degree of preternatural endurance and resilience to harm. Thus him being sent straight through a wall by Reni with no visible effects. So even a "lethal" poison spell may only be enough to put him in a catatonic state

Depending on how badly Nibs messes the would-be assassin up...
What if she's actually someone's familiar, simply using a squirrel form to go incognito? Specifically, if she's actually somehow linked to the Master Spy?
