I've reached a conclusion as far as my personal head-cannon is concerned, that this is not only pre-planned but likely a CNC event surrounding her having very little time for this stuff outside of her work hours, and setting up the "jump" on her route, but not being told exactly where it would happen.. to make sure it comes as a surprise, but not a true shock or rape.
