News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Well just to clarify two things: One, you're getting mad at a satire pic made by a pony artist, and two, your comment is full of unnecessary mad. Am I mad? Not the slightest.

Futurama: March of 1999 to September of 2013.

MLP: October of 2010 to present.

Kind of unfair comparing the awards for two shows when one has more than a decades head start.

It's nice that you notice this when it suits your purposes.

More along the lines that there's a number of people who will take the joke he stated for face value and ride on it, before realizing that it is, indeed, a joke; the massive hole in the logic - that futurama ran for a combined time of nine years, while FiM is currently at four - is ignored to play it off for laughs.

I've never been so disappointed that no one brought up the screaming Super Smash guys. Where you at, indeed.

Whoops! I forgot about Futurama's brief cancellation.

Anyway, let's let bygones be bygones. Futurama has more awards. We'll see how far MLP goes.

And yes, I did like your reference to the SSBB guys. That video is quite hilarious.

  • What even was the origin of this? What specific situation caused beef between a Futurama fan and a brony for this to occur? The only time I can even think of those franchises coming together is in Fluffle Puff's Futurama short.
