Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

Jan 7th: Small update to the Uploading Guidelines today: We now no longer allow paintovers of AI generated content. Or in other words AI generated content that has been edited to some degree by humans.

A friend of mine once told me that people usually don't see all the work behind a finished product. Now that I tried making an animation, I couldn't agree more with him. I hope you all enjoy this animation as much as I enjoyed making it. And to all of you who've ever animated, know that you have my admiration and respect.

    Not everything is subjective.
    Fecal matter contains pathogens and rapidly spreads disease.
    It isn't disgusting because people think it's bad, it's disgusting IRL because it can lead to the death of people.
    In art everything is fair game because it isn't real, but IRL what they described is something that people should not do for a solid reason.

    Indeed man, e coli and proteus are the most common. And while they can cause complications, I don't really know if they're lethal. As any other sexual act, there's a risk of geting infected of many things. Kissing in the mouth involves even more pathogens which can also affect one's health. I'm not saying all those are disgusting or none are (because that's subjective), but the risk exists and it's not exclusive. In the case of the ones I mentioned, those are organisms that naturally exist within one's body and cause infections if they're in the wrong place (that doesn't guarantee you'll get infected, it's just a risk). Luckily, they can be treated easily and at a low cost. If someone does this kind of things, it's their responsibility to use protection or be prepared to afford a treatment in the worst case. But if they're not, then they might be putting themselves in danger.
