Can this sympathy Tom's trying to make us feel for Flora be any more artificial? It's so easy to just write a "meen" character when you need insta-drama

I can see why people think it's a forced drama/artificial&unnecessary but I think it could be viewed more as mild world-building, just showing how the free keidran view the ones who've been enslaved, though for that point to have been displayed using a main character wasn't really necessary.
