While I'm always happy to see Etheross' work, I'm always saddened by the fact that often times it's done due to someone "complaining" about their work, rather than appreciating it.

I understand your concern. I myself am not a fan of creating too many different versions of an original picture either. And while I do appreciate the artist's efforts and - in this case - the reference to the game, rather controversial or widely disliked fetishes/tags like amputation/gore are an exception for me.
Let's face it: this is after all a domain with the purpose of featuring furry erotica. People do not come here to see content that appalls them. It might go against the artist's visions to alter their creation, yet in the end all it does is make their work accessible/enjoyable to a wider audience. I think that is in the interest of both the artist and the consumer.

Not everything is complaints. I definitely appreciated it, but I felt there needed to be a messy uncut version to complete the set.

I must congratulate you, my friend. It's rare for someone to have the ability to come up with such a well-articulated justification, and at the same time actually making good points. Well done!
