Yeah, I'm betting Keidrans starting shit to stop the peace treaty. Fucking wolves, mang.

I think so too, humans are supposed to be able to gather magic around them naturally to cast spells, and the Templar are the elite... yet they are using mana crystals which typically Keidran need to cast spells.

Plus their faces are covered with masks when they have no reason to hide their identity since they are telling everyone that they are the Templar... not to mention how the masks oddly stick out as if they had a muzzle.

(And one final point, this seems like it would be a massively out-of-line reaction even for the Templar, we have seen wolves among their ranks before, so I don't think they would feel it's beneath them to have Keidran allies.)

  • One thing I remember. the guy with the cyan hair, templar with amnesia. what if this attack makes him remember? not only will they have a "Tiger by the tail" so to speak, but may have much worse to deal with.

Trace Legacy, he's kinda the main character. :P

Eh, I suppose there is a chance, but likely not, he's gotten better at holding it back recently, especially since the attacks aren't specifically targeting him, or anyone in particular.

He mostly seems to go crazy when Flora is in danger, not when he is in danger.

    HOLD IT!

If you'll also notice, the first target they took out was the tower. Referring to previous issues reveals that the tower was a key piece in allowing KEIDRANS (or Basitians) to use magic without needing crystals.

Now why would this be a priority target?

Moving further forward, I do not believe that the wolves are at the core of this. Why? Simple. They were attempting a treatise of some sort with the tigers. While they would be potentially offended at a council of templar and tigers attempting to achieve peace, attacking tigers with templars about is a recipe for disaster for themselves by creating a war on two fronts.

My theory on this is that this is an operation by rogue templar elements to place blame on the wolves so they could create a war and wipe them all out or, if possible, subjugate them.

The tower shown getting fireball'd isn't a mage one.

    Ack!

Um...needless to say I still think that this is an attempt to frame the wolves. I mean, do you REALLY believe that the Templars would be oblivious of that, and more importantly that they would allow it to go through?

Not oblivious so much as not have a problem with it. First of all, it would be stupid to fight a war on two fronts instead of one. Second, it is implied it was the wolves who started the war, and only the wolves. Third, we have seen a wolf Templar before: http://twokinds.keenspot.com/archive.php?p=599

Not that the chance of the wolves being framed isn't also a possibility, it seems almost TOO obvious that they are not human, but if that's the case, it's likely some splinter group or someone not associated with the Templar, not the Templar themselves, attacking their own people over a treaty that could HELP them in their war against the wolves is something that would be way out of line for them.

"Attacking ourselves and our people is so stupid they'll never suspect it was us! Brilliant!"

It would only be brilliant if there was something more to make people suspect they are wolves disguised as Templar and therefor impostors besides their masks and the string of crystals on their hip. If one "accidentally" expose a part of their body having fur or slipping and not using human language. That would making them think wolves impersonating Templar lets unite to wipe them out.

It really could be wolves impersonating Templar instead of Templar trying to set a ruse. If the wolves make the treaty with the tigers fall through they could try and get them as allies or simply let them start their own war with the Templar and humans. Should that were to happen to combat them on a large scale the Templar and humans would have to fight two wars at once.

Those cloaks are important. Without them doing something like raising their arms you can't see if all of them have strings of crystals on their hips. They could be far enough away and causing enough ruckus that no one can notice or tell they have crystals.
