Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

Jan 7th: Small update to the Uploading Guidelines today: We now no longer allow paintovers of AI generated content. Or in other words AI generated content that has been edited to some degree by humans.

    It really gets annoying when I want to favorite the picture on the actual artist's gallery/submission page to be supportive, to be redirected to one of those dudes who doesn't work on art at all and has "his" entire gallery full of artwork he absolutely didn't touch, to then notice the actual artist doesn't even have it on his gallery

    They're called commissions that THIS GUY paid for because he wanted this kind of picture drawn by said artist.
    Instead of whining just watch the artist and enjoy the artwork

    It gets even harder to try to support the artist when you consider he probably didn't upload it on his gallery because that dude paid him more just to have the exclusive rights to have it uploaded on "his" gallery alone. I don't know why the average person finds it right for people to buy their fame with money, maybe that's because everyone's been doing that, but when I commission people I certainly don't have that necessity to have it uploaded on my gallery

    Ero doesn't normally post commissions on his gallery if at all, I haven't checked. Its probably private by default. So you should be happy you're seeing this at all.
