If they're improperly applied or cared for, the nipple can get infected, but that goes with any piercing or tattoo. As for breast milk, the piercings can be removed for feeding, but women's mammary system is surprisingly adaptive, with milk being able to find it's way past huge silicone implants, not to mention a simple piercing.

I agree. While I don't mind nipple piercings, I think nipple chains look tacky AF.
