A male anthropomorphic black panther mutant and a character from the animated tv series gargoyles.

Once a human named Derek Maza (and the younger brother of elisa maza), he was transformed into a mutant after being injected through a serum by Doctor Anton Sevarius (which he also used to experiment on three other subjects). David Xanatos, seemingly against Sevarius' experiments, forced Severius to create a cure, but the gargoyle Goliath interfered, and through the chaos, Sevarius was seemingly killed (though it is later revealed that Xanatos and Sevarius were in league with the experiment).

He eventually transformed into a winged black panther humanoid with the ability to produce powerful electric blasts. Now calling himself Talon, he held a grudge against Goliath for killing Sevarius and losing the cure. He, along with the other mutants Maggie, fang, claw, attacked Goliath and his clan to seek retribution. However, upon learning of Xanatos and Sevarius' manipulations, he ultimately made peace with the Manhattan Clan, and decided to use his powers to defend the weak and defenseless.
