エイラ・イルマタル・ユーティライネン, Eira Irumataru Yūtirainen

Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen is a fictional character from the mixed media series Strike Witches. Eila is a member of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing originating from the Suomus. Eila's familiar is the black fox and she is sometimes called "Illu" by her friends or by the nickname "Diamond Ace".

Eila has a deep fondness and protective nature toward her teammate Sanya V. Litvyak, seeing her much like a little sister. The two witches had a strong chemistry and are often paired for missions because of this. Eila is a stark contrast to Sanya, often referred to as "bubbly" and energetic by her peers. Eila likes to tell fortunes using Tarot Cards (though her predictions are at best questionable) and like her spirit familiar, the fox, she is prone to mischief and pranks. Eila's magical ability is called "Foresight" and allows her to predict and evade enemy fire. Because of this she is sometimes dubbed "Elia the Evasive", however her commanders find the trend of her ability troubling. Because she is able to dodge attacks her ability to summon and use defensive shields in partnered combat become lax and she may become a liability to her teammates because of it.

Eila is modeled for the Finnish flying ace Eino Ilmari Juutilainen (the top-scoring non-German Ace of World War II). Her striker unit is modeled on the Messerscharf Bf 109 G-2 and later the Messerscharf Bf 109 K-4. In combat Eila uses the MG-42 and Suomi KP/-31 Submachine Gun.
