Lycanroc (Japanese: ルガルガン Lugarugan) is a Rock-type Pokémon.

It is a canine, wolf-like Pokémon that evolves from Rockruff, starting at level 25, into one of three different forms. The form it takes upon evolving depends on the game it was evolved in.

• In Pokémon Sun and Ultra Sun, Rockruff evolves into Midday Form Lycanroc when leveled up in the day.
• In Pokémon Moon and Ultra Moon, Rockruff evolves into Midnight Form Lycanroc when leveled up at night.
• In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, a Rockruff with Own Tempo evolves into Dusk Form Lycanroc from 5 pm to 5:59 pm in in-game time (which is opposite the real time in Pokémon Ultra Moon).
• Additionally, Rockruff with Own Tempo can only evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc. Data for Dusk Form Lycanroc does not exist in Pokémon Sun or Moon, and as such, neither it nor Own Tempo Rockruff can be transferred legitimately to these games, nor can they be wonder traded.

In its Midday Form, it resembles a wolf, with a body covered mostly in brown fur. Its lower legs are white, and each paw ends in three black claws. It has a long, bushy, white tail, as well as a white mane around its neck, protruding from which are four spikes of black rock around its neck. Its face is mostly framed in brown fur, with tufts of fur sticking out from its cheeks making its head appear wider and a brown stripe running between its eyes. Its pointy ears stand on top of its head, tipped in black and with pink insides. Its muzzle and its face around its eyes are white. It has blue eyes, a black nose at the tip of its pointy snout, and four sharp fangs can be seen when it opens its mouth.

In its Midnight Form, Lycanroc resembles a slouched bipedal wolf, with werewolf inspirations. Its body is primarily covered in short red fur, with a white streak running up its underside and continuing up its neck to include most of its muzzle. It has a tuft of white fur on its chest, and a short, bushy, white tail. Its lower legs are white, forming a zigzag border with the red fur, and each foot is tipped with three black claws. Its arms are long and thin, with the top side of the lower arms turning white, and each hand is large, white, and has three black claws. A large mane of white fur runs in a line up its back and curls over its head, with a large spike of black rock protruding over its face. Red tufts of fur make its head seem wider, and a strip of red fur runs between its eyes, which glow red. Its ears bend forward and are tipped in black, resembling horns. Its mouth is lined with many sharp teeth.

In its Dusk Form, Lycanroc resembles a combination of the Midday and Midnight forms. It resembles a wolf, mostly covered in orange fur. It has white fur on its paws, each adorn with sharp claws. It has a long, fluffy white tail. It has a white mane with spikes emerging from it. It also has black-tipped ears, and green eyes which glow red like those of Midnight Lycanroc when attacking. Due to only evolving at sunset, the Dusk Form is considered the rarest of the three forms in Alola.

Rockruff and all three forms of Lycanroc are the only Rock-type Pokémon that cannot learn the Rock-type move Sandstorm. Additionally, despite the evolution methods suggesting that Midday and Midnight Lycanroc are version exclusives, they can be caught in the wild in Vast Poni Canyon, in the game version opposite of which the respective forms can evolve from Rockruff.
