Oekaki is the Japanese term for "drawing" and refers to a genre of bulletin board site where users can draw and post their artwork. These sites often allow for users to play back an image's progress stroke-by-stroke. The resulting images are usually low res and often use aliasing, though not always. While still a thing, they were most popular in the early 2000s, and many oekaki boards have since gone defunct.
