molotov cocktail
A simple, home made and improvised incendiary device made by filling a glass bottle with fuel, sealing it with a piece of cloth and lighting the cloth with fire. Then the bottle thrown at a target, which is immediately covered by the burning fuel after the glass breaks upon impact.
Not to be confused with cocktail, which is a type of drink.
