pectoral (jewelry)
The pectorals of ancient Egypt were a form of jewelry, often represented as a brooch, worn upon the neck or chest. As the name implied, pectorals would often mask the hollow between the breasts/pecs. Pectorals often were made to resemble falcons or scarabs.
While similar to the usekh in being a chest accessory, the usekh is much wider, with the usekhs consistent width being wide enough to cover the shoulder, and often lays across them rather being attached at the neck. Pectorals, like traditional necklaces, usually connect to the neck in a tapered fashioned, and are not nearly as wide.
