Sony's third home console, the successor to PlayStation 2 and succeeded by PlayStation 4. Tag is to be used anything related to the console, were it anthrofied/animate inanimate version of the console or controller, console, controller, games or consoles user interface (XMB), both official and clear mockups. Also additionally tag more specific tags.

The DualShock 3 (also known as Sixaxis) can be distinguished from earlier DualShock controllers from the lack of wires, player indicator on back and PlayStation button on the middle of controller. The PS3 console has a cylinder looking top and earlier models have disc tray on right side of front. Game discs have black to gray top bar on front cover with PS3 written on it.
