History: Ushuaia was offered the role of guardian late into adulthood, but still accepted it willingly. She took the opportunity to use the new abilities to better settle disputes and to protect her territory in Cyavi. Given her welcoming and happy demeanor, she was well-liked, which is probably a good thing as she quickly used her role to unite the entire region and act as a central head of government, overseeing the welfare of all the smaller kingdoms from her own. She would describe her younger life as being "quite average"-- basic education and rearing and so on that any cyavian would expect to receive. Her stance on other races, especially faradens with regard to the war, helped to keep the region open to other people, their walks of life, and their talents, provided they could follow their laws and were willing to work and help. She has said that she was always very curious about the lives of outsiders, even other cyavians, and would bug traders and the like as a child (even into adulthood) to know more about what their lives are like.

Once a replacement queen was eligible to take her place, Ushuaia set out to travel the continent to learn more about the outside world, documenting findings in journals and bringing them back to Cyavi for them to be copied and distributed. Much of what is known about the world outside of Cyavi is due to Ushuaia's records over the past few hundred years. It was what she had always wanted to do, and now she could. When available she would be open to consultation, but otherwise let the kingdoms govern themselves with the knowledge and skills she passed down. Luckily they did so pretty well.

After the fallout from Tokoyami, Ushuaia went back to traveling, this time to document how the outcome affected everyone-- especially faradens, as most of the other races were very quick to place blame on them over the conflict. Perhaps that is part of why cyavians are so open to other races.

When the time eventually came to seek the desired host, Ushuaia returned to Cyavi to offer Aten the role of Keeper. Aten reluctantly agreed, worried about Ushuaia, but Ushuaia insisted that everything would be fine, and that her lifetime would be when everything would start to right again. Ushuaia then set off for a ruralized rust belt of Faradus to where Kaze pointed.
