Togruta (/'təʊgɹʌtʌː/) — a humanoid alien species from the Star Wars franchise

The Togruta are a bipedal mammalian species from Shili, a planet in the Expansion Region with colorful grasslands and mountainous valleys. They're generally similar to humans in exception to their notable complexions and pronounced protrusions from the skull.

In place of hair, they have a pair of hollow horns called "montrals" growing upwards and three tail-like appendages called "lekku" dangling down (two that protrude from the skull, one on either side that drapes over their chest; and one hanging down their back from the rear base of their skull), both of which grow in length as the Togruta matures. Sexual dimorphism in the species leads for montrals to grow larger and more angular in the males, and the lekku to grow longer in females. As montrals are connected to an extrasensory organ, Togruta can echolocate movement within 25 meters.

Skin colors varies from red; orange; yellow; green, with all possessing highly variable white markings on the face; limbs; and majority of the lekku and montrals, the lattermost of which further have blue markings. Additionally, Togruta possess multiple stomachs and (in Legends continuity) are carnivorous.
