History: Izuruuk doesn't talk much about his history. He grew up in a settlement on the border between highland and lowland Psycrhel, known as Rowek-Dau-Met (lit. "where two meet"). While both of his parents were highland psycrhens, one of his grandparents was a lowland, lending to some differences in his appearance compared to other highlands. Unlike other highlands, his family retreated from the usual nomadic lifestyle and settled with a few other highland and lowland groups making up the small town. Rowek-Dau-Met was roughly even with inhabitants from both sides, fostering a unique cultural blend from the more agricultural lowlands and hunter-gatherer highlands. The town climate was one different from most other places, allowing a sense of family-like closeness even between those unrelated, whereas most other towns left some distance between people and discouraged open acts of affection. Exposure to this at a young age led Izuruuk to develop into an easygoing, affectionate boy, with few friends but fewer enemies. As a child he liked to venture into the woods to gather various plants (both food and medicinal) and sell them for food or other goods to other households. This helped both his need to roam and his need for stable community, traits from both sides of his ancestry often at odds with each other. He took an interest in smithing in his teenage years, learning what he could from the only other smith in the small town into his early 20s.
In the months preceeding the old smith's retirement Izuruuk married highland psycrhen, Tivrah, the daughter of the family to whom he often sold his gathered materials. They flirted openly in their teen years, with Izuruuk offering Tivrah only the best food ingredients and Tivrah making his favorite foods and beverages from what he brought back. After their marriage, the two built their own small house in the forest just outside town, taking over the old smith's shop after his retirement. He gathers and cooks things with Tivrah when not working at the shop, and lives a generally comfortable life. He tries to communicate his more open and loving approach to life as a viable alternative to the archetypal cold stoicism the race is known for, believing that it's a good thing to share happiness and affection with others-- something learned from a traveler during childhood and treasured since.
He was approached by a projection of Sebun in his mid-teens to be keeper as Eos (Yukikiba) was still reduced to a soul and undergoing cleansing.
