stomach acid
The acidic gastric juice created by the stomach, used to chemically break down ingested matter. Stomach acid is usually depicted as a frothy or slimy liquid that is green or yellowish in colour.
For obvious reasons, stomach acid is most often seen in vore art, and almost always seen through an internal of the stomach (although an object or character that has been regurgitated or vomited up may be covered in stomach acid)
The effects of stomach acid can vary:
- being entirely inert
- causing characters/food/objects to melt in a cartoonish manner
- realistically causing chemical burns and dissolving flesh over time (graphic digestion)
- exaggeratedly overpowered, and capable of either digesting things within a short time frame, or melting indigestible material (e.g. metal)
