A hole in a wall or divider (such as in a restroom stall inside a public restroom) typically large enough to fit a penis. Characters on either side of the barrier can engage in oral and penetrative sex through the hole, all while remaining anonymous. However, some characters just prefer to use the hole to take a peek at others.

The room behind a glory hole may be very open, while the characters there may or may not be bound in position. When the room is small enough, at some point it (also) becomes a sex_box.
