Cruelty is any willful act that causes pain, suffering, sorrow, humiliation, or death to another person or animal, or allows such things to continue when they can be easily stopped. The reason for doing this can range from complete indifference to outright pleasure, but either way, a cruel person demonstrates an insensitive disregard for another creature’s wellbeing.
