Mr. Sonny Resetti (リセットさん, Risetto-san), also known as just Resetti, is a character from the Animal Crossing series. He is a mole that has appeared in all the aforementioned series's games, with the exception of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp where he is merely a maintenance sprite. He also appears in the 2007 Dōbutsu no Mori film. His name is a pun on the word "Reset," as resetting the game is what causes him to appear. Resetti's job and main purpose is to make sure the player saves the game.

Mr. Resetti is known for his foul temper and humorous, if harsh, tone. The more the player resets the game without saving, the angrier he gets, eventually reaching the point where he forces the player to perform a number of irrational, absurd actions, such as reciting specific lines word by word, or triggering a "fake" reset out of spite towards the player. After the player resets many times in Animal Crossing: Wild World, Mr. Resetti will talk about his cousin Vicious Vole Vinnie. His first name is revealed to be "Sonny" in Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: City Folk by his calmer older brother, Don Resetti.

Mr. Resetti was made optional in New Leaf due to his harsh tone upsetting younger players in previous games. Once the player resets the game for the first time after becoming mayor, he will interrupt Isabelle after she loads up the town to talk about the Reset Surveillance Center going out of business and will ask the player to fund it, which will then make it available to be opened for 368,000 bells. Unless the player opens the Reset Center, Isabelle is the character who reminds players to save, and Don Resetti will not be encountered at all until it is opened.

In games where the Surveillance Center can be accessed, the player can meet and talk to Mr. Resetti and Don off of their shifts, and in New Leaf, players can eventually receive pictures from both of them after enough repeat visits.
