When a character has a head that is noticeably disproportionately small in comparison to the rest of their body.
- Normally proportioned adult characters usually have heads that are 1/7th or 1/8th of their total height
- ...that means 7-8 of the character's heads "lined up on top of each other" would equal the character's full height
- For a character to fall under small_head, their head should be smaller than 1/10th of their height.
- ...for an example edge case, this image just barely does not quality because she is just under 10 heads tall: post #2932344
While "small head" may imply a comment on art quality, or be seen as comical, this is almost always done as an intentional choice by the artist, and usually doesn't appear unnatural to most viewers. Characters are often drawn with smaller than usual heads to emphasize their height and/or size, to give the impression that the character is very tall; small heads are also frequently seen with characters who have hyper muscles or have exaggeratedly curvy figures to underline their extreme proportions.
