Pear-Shaped Figure describes a character with wide hips paired with a narrower upper body and shoulders. They will have comparatively lower fat-mass around their torso/waist and commonly have thicker thighs and/or a larger butt. If the character has breasts, they will usually have small to medium-sized breasts, or, more loosely, breasts that are noticeably smaller in comparison to the size of the characters lower body and hips. This figure resembles a pear, and is a commonly used term in fashion and beauty circles.

This tag can be applied to a range of similarly pear-shaped bodies (see examples above). A character doesn't need to be chubby or overweight to be pear-shaped, but this figure is more common with chubby/overweight characters.

What isn't a Pear-Shaped Figure:

• Do not add this tag to characters who merely have wide hips or big butts
• Do not add this tag if the character's lower body only appears larger due to their pose or perspective (ie. a low-angle view), or butt shot/butt focus images where the character has no distinct figure)
• Characters with pear shaped figures will never have broad shoulders or hyper breasts, and rarely have huge breasts.
• A character tagged as pear-shaped figure should never be tagged as hourglass figure or voluptuous, these are different body shapes.
