police
Police are an agency tasked by a local, regional or national government with enforcing laws and keeping the peace. Officers of a police force may pursue and detain suspects of crimes, issue tickets for parking or traffic violations, investigate crimes, direct traffic, guard people or places, and generally assist the public.
