A front entry sexual position where the penetrated partner is seated on top of the penetrating partner, who is in turn seated or lightly reclining, such as on the edge of a bed, in a chair, or atop a stool. The penetrated partner usually has their legs wrapped around the person beneath. Unlike the cowgirl position, the penetrating partner is not lying down.

The basket position tag is for mastery positions that take place entirely on a level surface. If the person on bottom is sitting in a lotus pose, it becomes lotus position.

Not to be confused with

• basket_position - No partner is sitting on another's lap.
• chair_position - Both partners are facing the same direction
• cowgirl_position - The penetrating partner is lying down
• saint_position - The character on bottom is kneeling instead of sitting.
