A will-o'-the-wisp, also known as a will-o'-wisp or ignis fatuus (Latin for "giddy flame"), is a small, sentient flame or similar object that flies/floats in the air. They are known to flicker about abandoned locations such as shipwrecks, or to follow around those who bear spiritual power like a yokai.
