The Ucumar is a mythological being or criptid from Northen South America folklore, similar to the american Sasquatch.
Also called Ucumari, Ucumare, Ukuman, Mapinguarí, Curupira or Jucumari depending of the region, resembles a bulk and hairy humanoid with bear features who is aggresive to humans who get in the jungle, usually kidnapping women to procreate with and in some tales has inmortality, magical powers related to the underworld or is said that lacks a soul.

The myth surely derivates from sightings of Spectacled Bears, an andean bear similar to the myth descriptions, with which it even shares name in some places.
