A fantasy film originally released in Japan in 1984, produced by Isao Takahata and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, both of whom would found Studio Ghibli the next year.

Its original localised release, Warriors of the West, was created by Manson International and released throughout the latter half of the 1980's. Miyazaki and Takahata HATED the significant edits and content cuts done to Nausicaä to create it, and so firmly established a "no cuts" policy for Studio Ghibli to prevent any more of their work going forward from suffering the same fate. A more faithful localisation was released by Disney in 2005.

Note that while Nausicaä predates Studio Ghibli as a company, it's regarded as a film from the studio regardless, and has been included in Studio Ghibli compilations.
