The Conductor is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, making his debut in "The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog". He's (as the name implies) the Conductor of the Mirage Express, who has recently retired after conducting for thirty-two years. His real name is never revealed as all characters simply call him "Conductor". He has also made multiple cameo appearances in the IDW comic series.

The Conductor is a cyan anthropomorphic Saint Bernard^(src) dog with both a white muzzle and a white mustache, yellow eyes, big floppy ears and a black nose. For attire, he wears a green hat that obstructs most of his face, leaving only his eyes visible, a green coat and green pants, black shoes and white gloves.

While not an official name, he is referred to as Basil by TMoStH lead character artist Min Ho Kim.^(src)
