brick phone
Brick phone describes early cellular phones used from the 1980s to early 1990s. These phones were large, bulky "bricks" which featured a prominent antenna at the top of the device.
The Motorola DynaTAC, sold from 1983 to 1993, is the most widespread example of "brick phone" — art featuring '80s cellphones will often either directly copy, or draw inspiration from this specific model's design. In many other cases, however, brick phones may be simplified to merely being a rectangular device with a visible speaker, receiver and antenna.
