A crossbow is a type of medium ranged weapon consisting of a horizontal bow-like assembly mounted on a stock thats shoots projectiles such a bolts and quarrels. The Crossbow is notable for being a fairly easy weapon to manage, and also less physically demanding than bows, and as such, were massively produced and distributed amongst nations during its time .The crossbow was typically used against armored targets, such as knights wearing plate mail. One of the down-sides of the crossbow is its reload time.
