The piledriver position is a sexual position named after the downward motion of a pile driver device (the wrestling move with same name was coined much later). The position is executed with the bottom partner lying neck down and bottom up with their legs bent over head, while the top partner crouches over them and inserts their penis or strapon straight downwards.

When the bottom character is instead penetrating the top character (as might happen with female on top), this position becomes the amazon position.

A softer position, where the thrusting motion is more horizontal than vertical, and the bottom has more than just shoulders on the ground is the anvil_position.
