Puss in Boots is a character from DreamWorks' Shrek franchise, based on the "Puss in Boots" fairy tale. He is an anthropomorphic, smooth-talking, orange cat with a Spanish accent voiced by Antonio Banderas. He usually wears a cavalier's hat, a belt with a rapier, a small black cape, and small Corinthian boots. He is also the protagonist of two spin-off films: Puss in Boots and Puss in Boots The Last Wish.

He is heavily inspired by the character of Zorro. Particularly his depiction in the 1998 movie The Mask of Zorro to the point of them both being portrayed by Antonio Banderas.
