A character who has at least a pair of eye sockets but with no eyeballs. Either they were removed, destroyed or were born/created without them.

Not to be confused with

• eyeless - Characters who were born or created without eyes or even eye sockets to begin with.
• empty eyes - Characters with monotone eyeballs with no iris and pupil.
