Art Fight is an annual graphic art game created in 2007 that is held every July as an event celebrating artists' characters. During the game, artists are assigned to one of two teams that change every year and "attack" the other team by creating and submitting artwork of an opposing team member's character(s) that they submitted to the official Art Fight website. Artist earn points for their team based on different factors relating to the art. Artists can respond to "attacks" by creating and submitting artwork of one of the attacker's characters or another artist on the attacker's team. Artists can also create "friendly fire" art of a teammate's character, but they will earn only 20% of the full points. At the end of the month, which is officially from July 1 at 12 PM MDT (Mountain Daylight Time, UTC−06:00) to August 1 at 12 PM MDT, the team with the greater score wins.
